Snooze Your Email

The Snooze Your Email for Gmail plugin for the Google Chrome browser is a smart extension to remind you of the unanswered mail lying in your email inbox that you have forgotten about. Many a times, we read new mails but cannot reply due to the paucity of time, and the quantity of mails that needs replying to. And once we mark them as unread, we tend to just pass it over as there are more incoming messages that grab our attention. More often than not, it results in failure of a possible business transaction, loss of communication with a friend or client, or forgetting to convey an important message at the right time. The Snooze Your Email app comes in handy during such times. And now it works for both Gmail and Yahoo! Mail Beta.

On installation of this add-on, a new browser tab opens up asking you to reset the options for your Gmail or Yahoo! Mail Beta account, provided you are already logged in. Later on, as soon as you come across a mail that needs replying to, but you can’t at the moment, just click on the Snooze option from the ‘More’ menu, and snooze it for as long as you want. You can get a reminder later or have it reappear in your inbox as unread as soon as the snoozing period set by you is over. After reading you mail, you can decide to snooze it further for a couple of hours or days or a month. Each time, you will get a desktop reminder for that email when you’re ready or have the email automatically marked as unread later depending on your options.

This app is really useful for those whose regular work involves a lot of communication, as choosing when to reply to the email is of utmost importance. And this utility eliminates the need to set up separate reminders about replying, as you can simply do so with a click. Everything put together, the Snooze Your Email application should prove to be a nice addition to your list of practical Chrome apps.
