Office Games

This extension for Google Chrome is specifically designed for office workers who have a bit of free time in their hands. The ‘details’ section of the extension boasts that the extension has over 50,000 games with a plethora of categories like sports, action, racing and many more. Installing the extension is very easy, simply go to the web store and search for ‘Office Games’. Then click on the ‘Add to Chrome’ button to install it to your browser. Then click on the new office games button next to the ‘customise and control Google Chrome’ button to open a small window with 12 popular games. Click on any one of these games to open a new tab which loads your selected game. In the same window, there are a couple of links which will show you their entire catalogue of games.

The games themselves are very straight forward. They are all flash based, so don’t expect jaw dropping visuals and spine tingling stories. The games are pretty straight forward with simple objectives although some of the games are quite difficult thanks to dreadful controls and sadistic A.I. For example, the soccer game, Android Soccer, requires you to use the mouse to score a goal against a goalkeeper, but the terrible controls and the goalkeeper’s psychic ability to guess where the ball will go. So scoring a goal is a near impossible feat.

Be warned though, some games are quite gory; although these are the ones with are the most fun, like Apple Shooter and Gun Blood. While veteran games and green horns will love to play old fashioned games like Tetris and Bubble Bobble are sure to grind your day’s productivity to a halt, though make sure that your boss isn’t around when you are playing these games.
