Facebook Chat Notification

The Facebook Chat Notification by Jason Savard is a tiny but useful helper that alerts you about incoming chat messages on Facebook so you can stay in touch with your friends all the time without having to have the Facebook website open all the time.

By installing this extension, a Facebook icon will be placed next to the address field of your Google Chrome browser. Whenever you are contacted by a Facebook friends, the icon show a chat symbol alerting you about the incoming message. Even if you are away from your browser you won’t miss a chat request as the Chrome extension will also send you a desktop notification (as pictured). This functionality can be disabled in the Options.

To install this extension, just visit the Facebook Chat Notification page at the Chrome Web Store and click the install button. A few seconds later the installation is complete, there are no additional configurations needed. Just make sure you are logged in to your Facebook account. If for some time you don’t want to receive any notifications you can easily hide the icon by a right-clicking on the it and choosing “Hide button”. To uninstall the extension select “Uninstall”.
