This no nonsense app does exactly what the name says it does. It plays radio online. With a plethora of radio stations from 14 countries to choose from, you are sure to find a station to match your mood and style.

Installing the app is child’s play. Just go to the Google Chrome Web Store and search for ‘Radio’ and click on the 1st result you see. Then click on ‘Add to Chrome’ to install it to Google Chrome. To start the application, open a new tab and click on the Radio icon under the ‘apps’ section. The interface is quite slick and stylish. There is a monochrome background with colourful widgets for the radio stations. The gear icon in the top right corner lets you choose between 4 backgrounds. The bar on top lets you choose a country.
This is a great app for music lovers around the world. The uncertainty of what song will come next coupled with the witty chatter of the RJ make this app very useful in the office, especially when you have a stressful project on your head and you don’t have time to select your own songs.

Keep in mind that this plays radio online. This means that that the applications fun factor will drop down considerably if the internet connection speed is low. Another thing to remember is that certain stations may ask for the Windows Media Player Plug-in to work properly. It would also be nice if the radio stations came with more information, such as genre.
Never the less, this app proves that in the age of iPods and mp3 players, radio still soldiers on.
